Dark Kitchens FAQs

Dark kitchen décor has a long history. Despite being in vogue for decades, however, it’s still fashionable. Indeed, dark kitchen paint colours are timeless. So, rest assured, a luxury dark kitchen is a wonderful investment.

That depends on whether you’re using a dark colour or tone as an accent for your kitchen. If you’re opting for a black or dark grey tone then light worktops make for an eye-catching contrast, but you can also go all out with dark kitchen appliances, dark tea towels and an overall black kitchen design. If your primary accent is a colour like dark blue, green or purple, though, it’s best to avoid going too kitsch buy adding any extra colours (unless you want the distinctive look). Instead, stick with bright neutrals to complement the colours. Either way, it helps to avoid dark kitchen flooring and include dark kitchen lighting over cooking zones.

We have 150+ Masterclass Kitchens partner showrooms you can visit, each fitted with dark kitchen ranges that enable you to see and feel the craftsmanship in person. Click here to find your local retailer.

Many people assume they won’t be able to afford our dark kitchens but we actually offer ranges at various price points. Depending on the number of cabinets and storage features you want, prices can begin at only £15,000. This includes all the markers of master craftsmanship and a 10-year warranty. Knowing that every kitchen owner has a different taste, we advise you book a meeting with an advisor for a free kitchen quote. There’s no obligation to take things further if you change your mind.

Your journey to getting a dark kitchen with Masterclass Kitchens is simple. There are six steps involved.

We source a huge portion of our board from FSC® and PEFC accredited forests. As a result, waste wood materials now make up 100% of our board. What’s more, we’ve minimised pollution and energy usage in our processes without impacting our high-quality standards.
